The Beginning of ICC:

Dambar Adhikari is the founder and leader of IMF (International Missionary Fellowship) e.V.. He was born in Nepal 1962. Being a practicing hindupriest, he refused the gospel for years. But through a great miracle, that changed his entire life, he finally found Christ at age 21. Because of heavy persecution he lost everything and had to leave Nepal. After two years in Bahrain and one year in Egypt he arrived in Germany 1990. He planned to attend Bible School in America, but seeing the spiritual needs in Europe, GOD gave him a heart for Europe. 1997 IMF was officially founded by a multicultural christian Team.

2000 Dambar married Barbara, a Swiss. 2001 Deborah was born. In the same year Dambar and Barbara joined "Kontaktmission". 2002 Shrawan and Hanok, Dambar's sons, came from Nepal and completed the family. Since 2003 the family lives in Herne (Wanne-Eickel).

In the beginning the thought of planting a church was merely a seed in the hearts of Dambar and Barbara. At that time their emphasis was on the Travelling Ministry of Dambar - bringing the Gospel as an Evangelist to people all over Europe. When Barbara started a women's intercessors group, they started praying regularly for the city, the nation(s) and also for church planting. In the following years Dambar and Barbara received several words of prophecy that said, they would plant a church in Herne one day and reach out to the nations.

In summer 2015 some people who were without church at that time, addressed Dambar and Barbara. For these seekers the weekly women's prayer meetings on Wednesday morning were not enough. So GOD put on Dambar and Barbara’s hearts to make their living room further available for praise and worship and the sharing of GOD’s Word every Sunday morning. The LORD added more and more people that shared the same vision: reaching our city and people from all nations with the wonderful, life changing Gospel of our LORD JESUS Christ! ICC-International Christ Center was born.

In Mai 2016 the little home church moved into the facilities at Zeppelinstr. 1, 44651 Herne. ICC is a church planting project of the non-profit-making organization IMF e.V.
